Activate Customer Locations

For Users (employees) to clock in at a specific customer (store), that customer’s location must be activated. This is also crucial for placing orders, processing returns, and pulling statistics from that store for future reports.

  • Customers without an active location show a light blue location button.
  • Customers with an active location show a light green location button.

Steps

Section titled “Steps”
  1. Select Customers in the navigation menu on the left.
  2. Select Edit Customers in the menu below.
  3. Select Location (light blue button to the right, in the same row as the customer you wish to activate).
  4. Select Add Address (green button to the right of the screen).
  5. Choose one of three ways to add the address (below).
  6. Select Save (green button at the bottom right).
  7. Select Back (red button at the right side of the screen).

Option 1: Add Own Address

  • Start typing the name of your customer (store) in the Full Address bar.
  • If the customer is on Google, the name should appear.
  • If it doesn’t appear in the drop-down, type the actual street address in the bar instead.
  • Double-check that it’s the correct customer in the drop-down menu.
  • Select Confirm (blue button, bottom right of the pop-up).
  • Double-check the map shows the correct location. You can select View Larger Map (top left of the pop-up, below the GPS coordinates) to open it in Google Maps.

Option 2: Use GPS Co-ordinates

  • Open a new tab and go to Google Maps.
  • In the search bar, type the name or address of the customer (store).
  • Right-click the pin that marks the location.
  • Left-click the GPS coordinates at the top of the drop-down list (this copies them to your clipboard).
  • Return to your BizTrack page.
  • Paste the GPS coordinates into the top bar labelled Latitude.
  • Left-click in the bottom bar labelled Longitude — the program automatically copies the correct part of the coordinates into it.
  • Select Confirm (blue button, bottom right of the pop-up).
  • Double-check the map shows the correct location (View Larger Map opens it in Google Maps).

Option 3: Use Current Location

The program automatically plots your current location using your device’s GPS on the map that appears next. Double-check the map shows the correct location — you can select View Larger Map (top left of the pop-up, below the GPS coordinates) to open it in Google Maps.
