Import User Tags
When you create users manually, you can add multiple tags during the process. But when users have been added via import, you need to import their tags separately. Tags are added to users to simplify and specify search criteria you might need in future.

- Select Setup in the navigation menu on the left.
- Select Users in the menu below.
- Select Link Tag via Import (grey button at the top of the page).
- Copy the Available Fields from the top of the page.
- Open a new Excel sheet and prepare it (see below).
- Return to your BizTrack page and select Browse.
- Search for your saved file and select it.
- Ensure the correct file name is displayed next to the Browse button.
- Select Import.
- Double-check that the fields correspond with each other.
- Select Import again.
- Spot-check your work: click Edit on any listed user and view the new tags in the bottom window under Chosen Tags. Click Back or Cancel to return to the user list.
Preparing the Excel Sheet
Section titled “Preparing the Excel Sheet”- Paste the available fields into the first cell.
- Keep the first cell selected, then click Data → Text to Columns.
- Select Delimited, then Next.
- Deselect Tab and select Semicolon, then Next.
- Click Finish.
- Adjust the column width to view all fields properly.
- Copy users’ email addresses from your previous User Import document and paste them under UserEmail.
- Copy users’ DefaultUserType from your previous User Import document and paste them under Tag (this becomes their first tag).
- Repeat for any additional User Import documents (as shown in the video).
- Double-check the work and save your document.
Adding Additional Tags — Option 1
Section titled “Adding Additional Tags — Option 1”Insert a row below a user’s row, copy their email address under UserEmail, and add the additional/different tag under Tag. (Not demonstrated in the video.)
Adding Additional Tags — Option 2
Section titled “Adding Additional Tags — Option 2”- Put a 1 in the third column, on line two (the first line with your data).
- Click and drag the fill handle of that cell downwards to copy.
- Choose Fill Series from the drop-down at the bottom right of the last cell.
- Copy that entire range of numbers and paste it below (once for 2 tags, twice for 3 tags).
- Select all your data plus the newly added numbers.
- Click Filter in the menu bar — drop-down arrows appear at the top of your selection.
- Click the drop-down above the new numbers and choose Sort Smallest to Largest.
- Remove the filter and delete the new numbers.
- Copy each email address into the empty lines below each user.
- Insert the additional tags for each user.
- Delete any unnecessary rows below each user that aren’t needed for extra tags.
